Thomas Tejerian
Tom Tejerian, Club President, 1983-1984
Thomas Edward Tejerian went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 16, 2008. He was born on May 18, 1947, in Reedley to Edward and Gladys Tejerian. He graduated from Reedley High School in 1965. After high school he attended Reedley College for two years, and graduated from Fresno State College in 1970. He attended the University of Uppsala in Sweden for one year and became fluent in Swedish.
Tom was a partner of Tejerian's Clothing Store in Reedley and Sanger with his father Edward until 1984. He then became a real estate loan officer and later went into financial services where he was self employed.
In 1972, Tom married his favorite gal, Margaret Hakalmazian. His son Scott was born in 1975, and his daughter Kari was born in 1979. They were the joy of his life.
He was a 33 year member of the Sanger Rotary Club where he served as President, and he worked on the Sanger Downtown Redevelopment Committee. He had also been a member of the Sanger Chamber of Commerce and the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. He was a devout member of the Sanger Community Church where he served as an Elder and a Deacon. More than any of his accomplishments as a businessman or in the community, Tom Tejerian loved people. He loved being around people and he loved making them laugh and smile. He was a sensitive Christian man with a humble, caring demeanor. We are all grateful for the privilege of knowing him. Tom is survived by his loving wife Margaret; his two children Scott and Kari; his sisters, Suzanne MacPherson, Wilma Pinkerton and Sylvia Garoian; along with two nieces and four nephews.
A Memorial Celebration of Tom's life was held at Sanger Community Church on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Sanger Rotary Club, Paul Harris Fellowship, P.O.
