Stan Schletewitz, Club President 1978-1979


Stan attended local schools and graduated from Sanger High School in 1954. While attending Fresno state College, Stan was the first student to pack and ship fruit fromm his own orchard project from the Fresno State packing shed, and was instrumetal in designing the first label for the Fresno State shipping boxees. Throughout hs school years, he won many awards for his produce in FFA and at county and state fairs. He loved farming with his dad and later farmed with his brother Ron in Sanger.

Stan was a true "people person" and enjoyed serving in many organizations. He was past president of the Sanger Rotary Club and Sanger Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Fresno Grand Jury and the Republican Central Committee and served as an advisor to Senator Hiyakawa. He was a founding member of Sanger Community Bank and a long time member of Salem Evangelical Free Church.
